Our Mission

The mission of H.E.R. Next Chapter is to provide support to women who are going through abuse and coercive control by giving them a safe and confidential space where they are able to get hope back, gain their sense of power back, obtain information and create a path for themselves towards safety and independence.

We value and focus on the experiences of women who come from Arab, South Asian, Muslim and other culturally diverse groups as well as any other woman regardless of her background. With our support, education, resources and connections we enable women to make choices regarding their lives independently.

Our aim is not to direct them what their future chapter will be, but rather to assist them in creating it on their own.

A warmly lit kitchen table made of natural wood, its surface smooth and slightly textured, arranged with a blank open journal, an uncapped pen resting across the spine, and a simple ceramic mug filled with tea. Beside them, a folded printed brochure with abstract shapes stands upright, its pages turned just enough to imply helpful information without any readable text. In the background, soft-focus cabinets and a window with sheer curtains glow with late-afternoon sunlight. Photographic realism at eye level with a shallow depth of field, creating a calm, supportive atmosphere that suggests access to information, guidance, and time to reflect in safety.
A clean, modern home office corner featuring a light oak desk with smooth edges, a closed silver laptop, a neatly stacked pile of pastel folders, and a sturdy lockable filing box. A corkboard on the wall displays color-coded sticky notes and blank index cards with pins, all free of visible text. A small, thriving potted plant adds a touch of green. Soft, diffused daylight enters from an unseen window, casting gentle, even light with minimal shadows. Photographic realism with a slightly elevated angle and balanced composition, conveying organization, privacy, and quiet focus as someone plans their next practical steps in rebuilding their life.
